Millie McAinsh, an 18 year old girl who is hospitalised and unable to walk, talk or eat has been left in a state of constant fear, as she believes she may die soon due to doctors failing to acknowledge her condition - severe myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME).

Mary Eggert, 40, got Covid in July of 2022 and has never fully recovered. She's been suffering from Long Covid ever since. Her main symptoms are brain fog and chronic fatigue. She had to resign from her job as a physical therapist in 2023 and to this day spends a good part of each day either resting up to spend time with her family.

Lapillus member Chanty has announced an indefinite hiatus from group promotions due to her chronic fatigue syndrome. On April 5 KST, MLD Entertainment released an official statement, updating fans on Chanty's health status. While Chanty will remain a member of Lapillus, she will not be able to participate in group activities due to concerns that intense physical activity may strain her health. She will focus on her individual promotions for the time being.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Isn't Just Misunderstood, It's Actively Neglected

Artist and musician Becca Thomas knew something was wrong when they went from working two jobs, making art, and exercising consistently to feeling winded from a single flight of stairs. It all started with a case of mononucleosis in 2017. "I never fully recovered after that and knew something was deeply wrong with my body," Thomas tells POPSUGAR, adding that it took four years to get any real answers. "In those four years I faced a lot of medical gaslighting and dismissal from negligent doctors."
